AL-FATIHA

This chapter consists of 7 verses, 25 words and 113 letters.

Al-Fatiha is the essence of The Qur'an.

This is reflected in the many names given to this chapter.

Al-Hamd (The Praise)
As-Salah (The Prayer)
Al-Kafia (The Sufficient)
Al-Kanz (The Treasure House)
As-Shifa (The Cure)
Al-Ruqyah (The Remedy)
Sab'a Mathani (The Seven Often Repeated)
Umm-al-Kitab (The Core of The Qur'an
Asasul-Qur'an (The Basis of The Qur'an)

The Almighty divides this chapter into two parts:

"The first part is for Me (when the slave praises His Lord)
and the rest is for My slave who shall receive what he asks."
(Muslim)

Al-Fatiha is a prayer of the Believer.

The Believer acknowledges the sovereignty of Allah
over all things.

He pledges his obedience to Allah as The only One that he worships.

The Believer seek Allah's guidance to live in The Straight Way.
The chapter begins with the invocation of the name of Allah The Merciful.

This lays the foundation as the Believers are encouraged to start every
act by invoking the name of Allah so that they will develop the habit
of reflecting on the righteousness of their actions at the point they are
about to start them.

In the next verse, the Believer says, "All praise is due to Allah."

This helps to prevent the Believer from becoming arrogant by
believing that his success is the result of his cleverness.

All things happen only by the Rahma or Mercy of Allah. The Believer
acknowledges this Truth when he says, "Alhamdulillah."

Human beings will therefore have to accept responsibility for all
their actions and they will be judged accordingly on The Day of
Judgement by their Lord (Rabb).

Those who obey Allah's commands will be rewarded. From this
recognition flows gratitude and the desire to please Allah The
Merciful as the only One the Believer will worship and turn to
for everything.

The Believer makes this pledge not only for himself but also on
behalf of all created things as Man is Allah's khalif on Earth (2:30):

You alone we worship,
You Alone we call on for help.

In the prayer to The Almighty to show us The Straight Way,
the Believer pleads for guidance through human models.

The Believer prays for examples of those favoured by The Lord
and are therefore in The Straight Way, as well as examples of
those who have earned His anger or have lost The Way.

Allah The Merciful places the whole of The Noble Qur'an before
the Believer in answer to this prayer, as if to say,
"This is My guidance to you."

The Prophets (peace be upon them), the Truthful, the Martyrs
and the Righteous are favoured by Allah. (4:69)

Those who "disobeyed and exceeded all limits" (2:61)
set by The Lord are the models to be avoided.

The Qur'an describes Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as the
"Best Model" (33.21) for everyone to follow.

The Qur'an describes the Prophet (pbuh) as "a mercy for
all the worlds." (21:107)

The Qur'an commands the Believers
"to obey The Lord and obey His Messenger." (64:12)

Those who accept and follow the confirmed traditions of Allah's
final Messenger are in The Straight Way.

Al-Fatiha is a miniature portrayal of Islamic beliefs and values.

The Opening to The Qur'an

AL-FATIHA

Al-Fatiha or "The Opening" is the first of the 114 chapters of The Noble Qur'an.

The translation of the meanings of this short chapter is as follows:

In the Name of Allah,
The Compassionate, The Merciful.

All praise is to Allah,
The Lord of the Worlds.

The Compassionate,
The Merciful.

Master of the Day of Judgment

You Alone we worship and
You Alone we call on for help.

Guide us to The Straight Way.

The Way of those whom
You have favoured; not of those
who have earned Your wrath, or
of those who have lost The Way.

This was the first complete chapter revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

It is the first chapter memorized by a Muslim.

Its recitation is compulsory in every raka' of the prayer. It is recited seventeen times daily in the five obligatory prayers.

BELIEF IN ONE GOD

Belief in One God is the core of Islam.

Mere acceptance that God exists
does not make one a Believer.

A Believer accepts God in the way
God describes Himself.

The only correct description of God
is found in The Noble Qur'an which
contains the exact Words of God.

In The Noble Qur'an, God uses
the personal name of Allah.

The Arabic name "Allah"
is gender-free and has no plural.

"There is no other god
to be worshipped except Allah"
is the most important part
of the Muslim's belief in One God.

Allah is the One and only, independent
of all things, has no child or parents
and nothing is comparable to Him.

Allah has no partners or associates.

Worshipping Prophets, saints and
gods created by men is completely
against the concept of belief in One God
who alone deserves all worship.

7 KAKI DALAM

Sedar sedarlah wahai manusia zaman sekarang. Dunia ini penuh dengan pelbagai dugaan. Tetapkan lah iman, betulkan lah akidah. Insaf lah.
Saya ini ingin mengingatkan anak anak dan juga diri saya sendiri.
Mari kita lihat seni-kata Selimut Putih yang didendangkan oleh Datuk Sharifah Aini di era 70an:-

SELIMUT PUTIH

Bila Izrail datang memanggil
Jasad terbujur di pembaringan
Seluruh tubuh akan menggigil
Terbujur badan dan kedinginan

Tak ada lagi gunanya harta
Kawan karib sanak saudara
Jikalau ada amal di dunia
Itulah hanya pembela diri

Janganlah mahu dikenang-kenang
Engkau digelar manusia agung
Sedarlah diri tahu diuntung
Sebelum masa keranda diusung

Datang masanya insaflah diri
Selimut putih pembalut badan
Tinggal semua yang dikasihi
Berbaktilah hidup sepanjang zaman

Hentikan maksiat dan mula bertaubat. Allah sentiasa memaafkan hamba-hambanya.

SOMETHING TO SHARE

What Allah says in The Quran

One God, One Humanity, One Religion, Many Prophets

Worship your Creator

Mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah)
Who created you and those who lived before you, that you may become righteous.

-(The Qur'an, Chapter 2, Verse 21) -

We are all Children of Adam

Mankind! Allah created you from a single pair of a male and a female (Adam and Eve), and made you into nations and races, so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.

One Religion

Mankind was one nation having one religion,
Later, when people invented other religions,
Allah appointed Prophets as bearers of
good news and warnings;
and revealed to them The Book
with the True Guidance to settle
matters of dispute between people.

Many Prophets, Same Message

To every nation, Allah sent a Prophet,
who proclaimed the same message:
"Worship Allah and keep away from false deities."

Brotherhood of Prophets

Indeed, this brotherhood of Prophets is a single brotherhood, and Allah is their only Lord. Therefore worship Allah alone. But people have broken up the unity and differed among themselves regarding Allah's Religion.

Believe in all Prophets

The Muslims say, "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, and that which was given to Moses, Jesus and other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Allah we have submitted ourselves in Islam."

Five Leading Prophets

Allah has ordained for you the same religion (Islam) which He enjoined on Noah - and which He has revealed to you (Muhammad) - and which He enjoined on Abraham, Moses and Jesus. So establish the Deen (way of life) of Islam and do not divide into factions within it.

The Qur'an confirms earlier Revelations

Allah has revealed to you (Muhammad) this Book with the Truth (The Qur'an), confirming the Revelations prior to it, as He revealed the Torah (Taurat to Moses) and the Gospel (Injeel to Jesus) in the past as guidance for mankind.

The Last Prophet

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.

The Prophet for all Mankind

Muhammad, Allah has sent you to the entire mankind, to give them good news and to forewarn them.

Follow and Obey Muhammad

Say to the Believers, O Muhammad, "If you sincerely love Allah, then follow me. Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
Also say to them, "Obey Allah and the Messenger."
If they turn away, then warn them that Allah does not love the disbelievers.

Islam, The Universal Religion

Allah has sent His Messenger, Muhammad, with the Guidance and the Religion of Truth (Islam), so that He may cause it to prevail over all religions.

Allah's Perfected Religion

Today, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as a Deen (way of life).

DOA UNTUK GURU

Anak saya selalu berungut fasal lecturer dia. Ada sahaja yang tidak kena. Ini lah, itu lah.
Wahai anak anakku, kita mesti selalu mendoakan guru guru sepertimana kita mendoakan ibubapa. Hati guru akan lembut, dan apabila kita disayangi, dia (guru) akan membantu kita hingga berjaya. Percayalah. InsyaAllah.

Tatapi lah kata kata ini:

"Hidup biar berjasa, mati biar beriman. Berfikir biar berilmu, berbicara biar berbahasa, bergaul biar beradab, berakal biar berakhlak. Yang miskin jangan dihina, yang kaya jangan disanjung. Yang lemah jangan dipijak, yang berkuasa jangan dijulang. Taburkan budi dan kasih sayang di setiap perhentian sebelum tibanya kita di perhentian yang abadi".

HARI IBU

Ya Allah, aku bersujud kepadaMu,
memohon ampun atas segala dosaku,
dan dosa saudara saudaraku.
Jadikan lah kami ibu ibu yang solehah,
dan sabar dalam mendidik anak anak kami.
Jadikan kami pemimpin anak anak,
kejalan yang Engkau redhai.
Pertingkatkan iman kami,
luaskanlah rezeki kami,
sihatkan tubuh badan kami.
Kurniai kami dengan ilmu yang bermenafaat.
Pimpinlah kami untuk tabah mengasuh anak anak kami
sehingga ke akhir hayat, dan
kuatkan kami untuk tetap berada dijalanMu.
Jadikanlah kami hamba hambaMu
yang sentiasa berpesan pesan
kearah kebenaran dan kesabaran.

Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Dearest husband,

"Count your garden by the flowers
Never by the leaves that fall
Count your days by golden hours
Don't remember clouds at all
Count your nights by the stars
Not the dark gloomy shadows
Count your years with smiles
Not the ever often tears
Count your blessings
Not your troubles
Count your age by friends
Not years.....
Bless will you be - here
And the hereafter"

Happy birthday to you

With love
